DCI Unable to Prove Jeff Mwathi’s Murder with Forensic Evidence

The investigation into Jeff Mwathi’s death has taken a new direction based on the latest findings from detectives at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

It was initially reported that the 23-year-old was murdered at the residence of DJ Fatxo, a popular Kikuyu entertainer.

However, the investigations now suggest that Mwathi may have taken his own life.

On Wednesday, the DCI announced that it had completed its investigation into Mwathi’s death and forwarded the file to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).

The file contains details of the events that led up to Mwathi’s tragic demise on February 22.

According to Citizen TV, the DCI’s report indicates that Mwathi may not have been murdered after all.

Instead, the new findings suggest that Mwathi may have inflicted fatal harm upon himself.

This aligns with the initial investigations conducted by officers at Kasarani Police Station.

Overall, the case of Jeff Mwathi’s death appears to have taken a different turn, with the latest investigations pointing to the possibility of suicide rather than murder.

After these new findings, the ODPP will decide what to do with the file.
