Danstan Omari Reveals Results of 7-Hour Search at Pastor Ezekiel’s Mansion
oooopNairobi City Attorney Danstan Omari, who is part of the legal counsel for New Life International Church General Overseer Pastor Ezekiel Odero, disclosed the results of search operations conducted in the home of the Kilifi-based Preacher on Tuesday, May 2nd.
Omari stated to the press that a team of Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) agents, accompanied by journalists, had descended on the Mavueni Complex in search of evidence linking Ezekiel to criminal activity.
The attorney added that the seven-hour search combed every inch and crevice of the 300-acre, multibillion-dollar complex.

“A team of investigators and journalists went to Pastor Ezekiel’s 300-acre compound in search of evidence linking him to any criminal acts.
On Sunday, November 25, 2022, Pastor Ezekiel Odero will deliver a sermon at Kasarani Stadium.
“They spent over seven hours searching for graves that may have been dug within the compound, but none were found,” Omari said.
When DCI officers were unable to locate the graves within the compound, they shifted their focus to other properties constructed on the property.
The investigators appeared interested in keeping or concealing bodies from public view within and without the complex.
“They then began searching for possible burial sites. “The investigators searched the entire complex for a morgue, but there was none,” he added.
After yet another failure, Omari claimed that the investigators persisted in determining the identity and function of each building within the Prayer Centre.
The City Attorney explained that Pastor Ezekiel had constructed several properties to honor the tens of thousands of people who visited the complex daily.
He mentioned that DCI investigators were curious about the building’s contents and its inhabitants.
“The investigators also investigated the possibility that the complex housed a hospital, but they determined that there was no hospital within the complex.

Omari explained, “Neither Journalists nor Investigators discovered any evidence linking Pastor Ezekiel to any crime, let alone the Shakahola Massacre.”
Since Pastor Ezekiel did not commit a crime, Omari was confident that Pastor Ezekiel would regain his freedom and his church would reopen soon.
“After seven hours of listening to Pastor Ezekiel with a team of attorneys, including Shadrack Wambui, Jared Magolo, and Cliff Ombeta, I concluded that the man had committed no wrongdoing.
“Pastor Ezekiel is being opposed because he received a substantial amount of money in offerings, which he used to construct elementary schools, secondary schools, and a university,” he explained.
Omari stated that his client barely knew the Shakahola-based preacher when asked about the cult leader suspect Paul Mackenzie, who is accused of aiding the deaths of more than 100 followers.
“Pastor Ezekiel has only met Mackenzie twice. The initial instance was when he desired to acquire his television station. “The second meeting occurred when he distributed the funds,” Omar explained.
The DCI has yet to comment on Omari’s allegation or the search at Pastor Ezekiel’s residence.
While speaking to GossipA2Z, attorney George Oriaro questioned why Omari appeared to speak on behalf of the DCI, as it could constitute contempt of court.
According to Oriaro, anyone may comment on a case, but not on its merit.
