CS Kuria joins Raila at Jaramogi’s memorial service in Kisumu
Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria on Saturday arrived in Kisumu for the memorial service of Mzee Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
The CS arrived shortly past 2.30 pm as the event was ongoing.
Kuria was received warmly by the crowd who appeared excited at his presence at the event.
He went ahead to greet the leaders present including Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
CS Kuria, a diehard supporter and a close ally of President William Ruto, is a fierce critic of Raila.
Mzee Jaramogi, Kenya’s founding Vice President, died 30 years ago on January 20, 1994, in Kisumu.
His memorial service took place at St Stephen’s Cathedral Church in the lakeside city.
Raila, who is Jaramogi’s youngest son, organized the memorial service to celebrate and honor his legacy and place in Kenya’s history.
The opposition chief invited renowned scholars, pan-Africanists, thought leaders, and journalists to speak at the event.
