Chiloba Murder Suspects Freed, Odhiambo to Stand Trial
Odhiambo faces murder charges after a court frees four suspects in the Chiloba murder.
Chiloba was murdered and his body was discovered in a metal box dumped near Kipkaren in Hurlingham village on January 3rd, 2023.

Dennis Litali, a bodybuilder, was completely released, while three other suspects were ordered to report to the police every month for three months.
Four suspects in the murder of LGBTQ activist Edwin Kiprotich kiptoo alias Chiloba have been released by an Eldoret court.
Senior Principal Richard Odenyo, on the other hand, ordered that prime suspect Jacktone Odhiambo be charged with murder in the High Court.
Dennis Litali, a bodybuilder, was completely released, while three other suspects were ordered to report to the police every month for three months.
Odhiambo was immediately taken to the High Court and charged with murder.
The prosecution stated that there was insufficient evidence to charge the four, resulting in their release.
They have been detained for 21 days pending investigations.

Odenyi granted the DCI 21 days to hold the suspects earlier this month to expedite the investigation.
He claimed that the victim lived in Nobler Breeze apartment Mloben sub-county, house no. B11.
The suspects were apprehended on July 7, and police completed their investigation into the murder, which led to the charges against Odhiambo.
