Chaos Erupts: Police Fire Shots, Teargas at Gachagua’s Nyandarua Event(Video)
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua encountered yet another volatile reception during a public event on Saturday, December 28.
The embattled leader, ousted from office in October for opposing the Kenya Kwanza Government, was forced to flee with his convoy after chaos erupted during a thanksgiving service for Shamata Ward MCA Gitau Njamba in Nyandarua County.
The tension escalated when Senator John Methu of Nyandarua began addressing attendees, only for his speech to be interrupted by an outbreak of violence.
Exclusive footage obtained by Gossipa2z.com reveals angry crowds clashing with police, who responded with teargas and live ammunition to disperse the agitated gathering.

Addressing the crowd after the commotion, Gachagua vowed to keep advocating for Kenyans’ rights, claiming he was being targeted by the government. He also accused a local Member of Parliament of orchestrating the disruptions and criticized police actions, alleging they exacerbated the chaos.
โYouโre claiming a civilian threw a teargas canister. Where did they get it from? You came here pretending to provide security, but instead, youโre teargassing people,โ Gachagua stated.
Earlier, Senator Methu had hinted at efforts to sabotage the event due to Gachaguaโs attendance, saying, โSome people didnโt want this event to happen, but weโve proven them wrong. No matter what the President does, weโll keep praying.โ
Gachagua, who has been rallying support in Central Kenya since his impeachment, has faced a string of dramatic incidents. Less than a month ago, his convoy was attacked with stones and chairs during a Limuru event. Following that altercation, he alleged an assassination plot against him.
