Chaos Erupt at Murang’a Fundraiser Attended by 3 CSs
Disorder erupted at a charity event hosted at a school in Kigumo, Murang’a County on Monday when the followers of Maragua MP Mary Wamaua clashed with those supporting Woman Representative Betty Maina.
The gathering, which was graced by three cabinet secretaries, including Aisha Jumwa from the Gender Ministry, at the behest of nominated senator Veronicah Maina, turned into disorder, deviating from its intended purpose of a commendable effort to raise funds for women’s support.
The pivotal moment occurred when Betty Maina and her spouse, Erick Wamumbe, who serves as the MP for Mathira, arrived and addressed the gathering.
Footage viewed by Gossipa2z.com showed the disorder that ensued when Wamaua tried to interrupt Wamumbe’s speech, leading to a verbal exchange between the two legislators.
Shortly afterward, the followers of the two leaders began confronting each other, participating in a physical altercation.

A flyer circulated across different social media platforms before the event indicated that several cabinet secretaries were anticipated to participate in the fundraising event.
This involves Simon Chelugui from the Cooperatives and MSMEs sector, Alice Wahome representing Lands, and Jumwa.
Local inhabitants, on the other hand, voiced their dissatisfaction with the behavior of their leaders, contending that it was inappropriate.
The disorder caused by the chaos brought the event to an unexpected halt, requiring some time to regain control of the crowd before proceeding.
By the way, this occurrence aligns with an increasing pattern where rowdy crowds have been causing disruptions at political events.
At a Presidential rally in Bomet on March 16, a group of young people disrupted Governor Hillary Barchok’s speech by heckling him.
President William Ruto had to step in and calm the disorder to enable the governor to proceed with his speech.
