CCTV Captures 2 Men Breaking Into CBD Shop to Steal Electronics (VIDEO)
Two individuals were apprehended while attempting to steal gaming consoles from a store situated in Imenti House, situated in the heart of the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD).
Based on the timestamp from the CCTV footage, the event took place at 7:15 am on a Sunday. This occurrence has left the proprietor feeling dismayed, prompting them to wonder how the intruders were able to gain access to the store without being noticed by the security personnel on duty.
From the video footage, the culprits were observed looting the store, holding a flashlight, and subsequently taking PlayStations. They then concealed the stolen items in a piece of clothing before removing them from the premises.
As the store is located on the lower level of the building, the individuals were portrayed transporting the stolen items up the staircase before quickly exiting the property.
The individuals took approximately seven PlayStation consoles, along with other valuable items, from the store.
According to the video evidence, the individuals conducted the robbery with composure, appearing unfazed by the constant surveillance of CCTV cameras. At times, they even looked directly at the cameras without any apparent concern.

The proprietor of the store is urging the public to assist in identifying the individuals involved, as they were not wearing masks in the video. This effort aims to recover the stolen items.
Discussing the incident on the internet, some Kenyan individuals expressed the view that the individuals involved might have collaborated with the security personnel overseeing the building. These commentators speculated that the security personnel could have been involved in aiding their entry and exit from the premises.
The proprietor was tasked with reviewing the video footage to pinpoint any of the individuals who might have previously visited the store to observe it.
Furthermore, the owner was advised to consider additional security measures to enhance the safety of the establishment. This involves implementing motion sensors that activate an alarm when the store is not in operation.
Recently, a female proprietor of a gaming establishment reached out for assistance on the Internet following a burglary at her store where all the electronic equipment was taken.
In 2020, a gaming lounge in Dagoretti experienced a robbery where three individuals held the attendant at gunpoint. The surveillance cameras recorded the thieves pilfering electronic devices from the establishment.
