Boy Orphaned After Father Killed Entire Family Seeks Financial Help to Join Form One
A young boy without parents from Makueni County is seeking assistance from kind-hearted individuals to support his enrollment in secondary school.
In 2013, John Sila became an orphan as a result of a tragic incident where his father took the lives of the entire family before taking his own life.
In the widely publicized event at that time, the father murdered not only his wife but also the boy’s grandmother and sibling.
Sila, who managed to overcome the tragedy, found refuge with Deliverance Church in Kambu, Makueni County, where he received complete sponsorship for his primary school education.
He achieved an outstanding performance in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), obtaining a score of 363 out of a maximum of 500 marks.
Due to financial difficulties, the young boy, despite his commendable performance, cannot enroll at Makueni Boys High School, where he earned a placement.

The youth presently resides at a children’s residence located in Thange Ward within Kibwezi Sub County.
The fee schedule, as reported by Kenyans.co.ke, indicates that the annual tuition for Makueni Boys’ School is Ksh53,000.
This amount is divided into Ksh26,777, Ksh16,066, and Ksh10,711 for the three terms.
Sila is required to pay the sum of Ksh26,000 for the first term before being admitted.
