Bombshell! Suspended Gov Fubara Exposes Secret Chats — Claims Ex-Head of Service Was ‘Paid to Lie’ in Shocking Betrayal Plot!
Port Harcourt, Nigeria – The suspended Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara, has released WhatsApp chat screenshots to defend himself against recent allegations made by former Head of Service, George Nwaeke.
According to reports by Naija News, George Nwaeke had earlier blamed Governor Fubara for the political crisis in Rivers State. He also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for declaring a state of emergency in the state, saying it helped prevent chaos and economic damage.
While speaking to journalists in Port Harcourt, Nwaeke accused Fubara of planning the destruction of public property and trying to create unrest in the state. He further claimed that his resignation from office was voluntary and not due to pressure from anyone.

However, Governor Fubara responded on Saturday, calling Nwaeke’s claims “laughable” and false. In a statement personally signed by Fubara, he said:
“The truth is that Dr. Nwaeke has been compromised. He is only speaking to fulfill promises made to those who may have paid or forced him to lie against me.”
To support his claim, Fubara also shared screenshots of WhatsApp chats between Nwaeke and the Chief of Staff, Ederson Ehie. The chats allegedly showed Nwaeke asking for financial help and support, saying that his monthly salary of ₦500,000 was not enough to meet his needs.
The leaked messages suggest that Nwaeke may have been seeking money and favors in exchange for loyalty.
