Babu Owino’s Unprecedented Investment: Ksh.58.6M Poured into DJ Evolve’s Recovery, Introducing Groundbreaking DJ Academy

Babu Owino, the Member of Parliament for Embakasi East, testified in court that he had spent 58.6 million Kenyan Shillings on Felix Orinda, also known as Dj Evolve, to treat him and pay all of his medical bills.

Babu Owino disclosed to the trial magistrate Bernard Ochoi that he had purchased a Ksh.17 Million apartments for the DJ in Kilimani, which is where the DJ currently resides.

This information was provided while Babu Owino was defending himself in a matter in which he was found to have a case to answer over the misuse of a firearm.

In a similar vein, the court heard that the MP intends to take DJ Evolve for additional treatment and open a DJ academy business for him.

“As the leader of the family, it was my responsibility to continue paying for his medical care because his family was unable to look after him. The sum of all outstanding bills came to Ksh. 23 million. He was unable to move at all because he was immobile.

The lawmaker from Embakasi said, “I bought an apartment in Kilimani for around Ksh.17 million and hired two nurses, two physiotherapists, and one occupational therapist for which I am paying Ksh.300,000 per month.”

In addition, I stated, “I have paid Ksh.11.1 million, and it has been going on for 37 months.”

I am responsible for his maintenance costs, which come to 70,000 Kenyan shillings per month and include food and payment for bills. The monthly cost of medicine is Ksh.80,000. I have made payments totaling Ksh.5.5 million over 37 months.”

The lawmaker testified in front of the judge that his gun had malfunctioned on the day that he was accused of committing the crime, so there was no way that it could have been the weapon that had fired the shots.

“The gun was incapable of firing. He defended himself by saying that the bullet could have originated from another firearm.
