So, why is he popular?
Over the last few days, the Embakasi East MP has made statements that, from various perspectives, appear to be intended to irritate the current regime.
The legislator claimed that the government was planning to bring false charges against him.
He urged the government to also charge him with the murders of high-profile individuals whose cases had previously gone cold.
The MP has also accused retired President Uhuru Kenyatta of defrauding former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Babu has also demanded that Uhuru resign as the UN Special Envoy for the Great Lakes Region and the Horn of Africa.
During the opposition’s Kibra rally on Sunday, the legislator claimed that the country was now returning to the dark days of “great terror.”
