Administration Police Officer Found Dead After Embu Party
Police in Embu County are currently investigating the mysterious death of an Administration Police (AP) officer whose body was found along the Manyatta-Kianjokoma road.
The discovery has raised many questions, and authorities are working to piece together the events that led to the tragic incident.
Benjamin Kiprono, the Embu North OCPD, confirmed the discovery of the body and identified the deceased as 35-year-old Collins Wafula. Wafula had been stationed at the Embu North Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) headquarters, where he worked until the time of his death.
According to Kiprono, Wafula was last seen leaving an end-of-year party that took place at the DCC offices. He was reportedly heading towards Kianjokoma, a town known for its local social spots.
After that, Wafula reportedly joined a group of people for drinks at Jambo Lodge, but what happened afterward is unclear. There are no further details about his movements after this point, and authorities are unsure whether he left the lodge on his own or in the company of others.
The following morning, Wafulaโs lifeless body was found in the Kavutiri area, which is along the road that connects Manyatta to Kianjokoma. A passer-by came across the body and immediately alerted the authorities, prompting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

The police have not ruled out any possibilities, and it remains unclear whether the officer was involved in a hit-and-run accident or if he was murdered in another location and his body was later dumped along the road.
Kiprono stated that the authorities are still piecing together the details and have urged anyone with information to come forward. โItโs not yet clear whether this was a hit-and-run incident or if the officer was murdered elsewhere and his body dumped on the road,โ Kiprono said in a statement.
He also appealed to the residents of Embu County to assist the police with any information that could help clarify the circumstances leading to Wafulaโs death.
The case has left many questions unanswered, and the police are working hard to investigate all leads to uncover the truth behind the death of the young officer.
Community members and witnesses who may have seen anything unusual or who have knowledge of the events leading up to Wafulaโs death are being urged to contact the authorities to help with the ongoing investigation.
