โMy net worth as of today is Sh980 million, I have pieces of land both in Garissa and Nairobi. My house in Nairobi, my house in Garissa, my cattle ranch in Garissa, my rental property in Nairobi and Garissa, my shares in a family-owned business, my camels and cattle and motor vehicles, and revenue from the book sales of my autobiography,โ said Duale.
He attributed his rise in net worth to the appreciation of land and real estate values.
Duale noted that the favorable rainfall in the country led to an increase in his livestock numbers.
โBoth for land and real estate property, usually the appreciation increases between 12 to 15 percent so if you calculate Sh 851 million by 12 percent or 15 percent that growth will be about Sh 140 million. We also had excellent rains and my livestock grew in number,โ Duale explained.
Former Garissa Town MP, Duale, is one of the Cabinet Secretaries retained in the cabinet. Initially appointed to the Defence docket in 2022, President William Ruto later reassigned him to the Ministry of Environment.
