ABOUBAKAR’s Al Nassr contract TERMINATED. Al Nassr reportedly terminates ABOUBAKAR’s contract in Cameroon to accommodate CRISTIANO RONALDO.
Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia has reportedly terminated Vincent Aboubakar’s contract to make room for new signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
Clubs are only allowed to register eight foreign players in their squads, according to Saudi league rules.
According to RMC Sport, Abubakar’s contract with Al-Nassr has been mutually terminated, and he will receive compensation. He is no longer a restricted-free agent.

“Al Nassr terminated Vincent Aboubakar’s contract by mutual consent, and he received all of his financial rights,” a club source said, adding that Ronaldo was registered before Al Nassr’s match against Al Ta’ee on Friday.
“So he served one game from the ban and will serve the other against Al Shabab” on January 14, according to the source.
The official declined to comment on reports that Aboubakar, 30, was on his way to Manchester United, instead stating that he was now a free agent and could negotiate with any team.
With Aboubakar gone, Ronaldo is now registered and eligible to play for Al-Nassr. However, before he can start playing for his new team, the 37-year-old must serve a ban imposed on him in November for knocking a 14-year-phone old’s out of his hands.
He sat out the first of his two-game suspension, as Al-Nassr defeated Al-Ta’ee 2-0, with Ronaldo in the stands.
The Portuguese will also miss Saturday’s game against Al-Shabab, but he will be eligible to make his debut for Al-Nassr on January 22 against Ettifaq at home.
