‘Tumekumiss Bwana’ Uhuru Kenyatta’s Hilarious & Heartfelt Interaction with Kenyans
Nairobi – After visiting the Ngong Racecourse on Sunday, July 23, former president Uhuru Kenyatta met with Kenyans in Nairobi.
Uhuru spent his Sunday at the Ngong Racecourse, where he attended the Jockey Club of Kenya 2022-23 Season’s closing ceremony, and at the Nairobi Golf Park.
A shared video captures the heartwarming moment when Kenyans momentarily interacted with him as he was leaving the venue, and as they pulled out their phones to take selfies with him, they openly told him how much they had missed him.
“Our president! We adore you so much! The audience could be heard saying, “We have missed you so much,” while others told him how they were suffering due to the economy.
The former president stood briefly for selfies, but his security personnel kept pushing the throng away so Uhuru could continue his journey.
Before departing, Uhuru also shook hands with the enthusiastic crowd, who could not stop expressing how much they mourn him.

Uhuru Kenyatta issues an appeal to the state
This occurred just days after Uhuru called out the state following a police raid on his son Jomo’s weekend residence.
Friday, July 21, Uhuru confirmed in Karen that the police searched his eldest son Jomo’s residence for firearms and other weapons.
Kenyatta asserted that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations allegedly employed vehicles with Sudanese license plates.
Uhuru reported that his son had informed him that individuals claiming to be DCI officers had arrived at his residence in a vehicle bearing Sudanese registration and demanded to speak with him.
Uhuru excites Diani inhabitants
Not for the first time do Kenyans become ecstatic at the sight of the former president. Earlier this year, his unexpected appearance at the Diani cultural festival thrilled the locals.
The former head of state appeared to be on vacation on the Kenyan Coast when he decided to join the residents at the Safari Park Hotel for their festive celebration.
Uhuru was also involved in presenting the victor of the tenth edition of the Diani Regatta Ngalawa Festival with a trophy of a substitute fish.
The air was filled with jubilation as many yelled that they mourn him. His security detail accompanied him back to the hotel.
