President Museveni Inspired by Pastor Dorcas Rigathi’s Ministry
Pastor Dorcas Rigathi’s ministerial work, philanthropy, and activism inspired President Yoweri Museveni on Friday, June 23, after she preached at an event at State House, Uganda.
During the launch of Museveni’s daughter Patience Rwabwogo’s book Jesus’ Africa, the head of state described the wife of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua as a firebrand and a powerful cadre.
He was amazed by her vitality as he recalled meeting her on September 13, 2022, at the inauguration of President William Ruto.
Despite being at the helm for over 37 years, Museveni stated that he would model his leadership style after hers.
“I am thrilled to see Pastor Rigathi. I was unaware that there is a firebrand in Kenya. She did not speak when we were swearing in their new government.
“I am surprised to see such a powerful cadre gathered here. I will utilize your pastoral abilities, Museveni stated.

Pastor Dorcas toured Uganda as the book launch’s keynote speaker.
She praised Museveni and his wife, Janet Kataaha, for instilling Christian values in their daughter.
She explained that the book would go a long way toward empowering Africans because it details her Christian journey and calls to service.
“In this book, Patience prophetically foresees a rising African continent, echoing the divine revelation she received in 2005 that inspired her to write it.
“We honor her parents for raising such a precious gem. “You shall indeed know them by their fruits,” she stated.
Kiema Kilonzo, the former Kenyan high commissioner to Uganda, accompanied Pastor Dorcas to the event.
Museveni’s daughter stated in an interview with Ugandan media outlet New Vision that the book was inspired by online messages she received during the pandemic-related lockdown.
“We transcribed the messages into a book, and the Lord compelled me to include my own experience.
“Teaching is simple, but sharing your journey exposes you to vulnerability. That was somewhat difficult for me,” she told New Vision.
