UDA Sets Ambitious Target: SG Malala Reveals Plan to Register Over 15 Million Members

Ahead of the general elections in 2027, the UDA party has set a goal to register more than 15 million members out of a total of 22 million electorates registered by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

On Saturday in Narok, during an event for recruitment and popularization, the Secretary-General (SG) of the party, Cleophas Malala, stated that this will give a clear win to the party’s candidates and prevent election disputes in the future.

As evidence, the Secretary-General pointed out that 850 of the country’s 1450 MCAs were elected on UDA tickets. He then requested that the ward representatives back their respective county governors to speed up the process of development in their respective counties.

According to him, this does not make the MCAs’ oversight role any less important in ensuring that the money in the counties is spent effectively.

Malala used this opportunity to criticize the opposition leader Raila Odinga. Saying that he never stops criticizing the government agenda. And that he never offers any credible solutions to the problems that are plaguing the country.

Patrick Ntutu, the Governor of Narok County. Was present and appealed to all of the UDA MPs from Narok. To vote in favor of passing the Finance Bill on Tuesday.

Several other members of parliament, including David Sankok, Johana Ngeno, Kitilai Ntutu, Ken Aramat, Gabriel Tongoyo, and Rebecca Tonkei, expressed similar sentiments.

Former Governor Samuel Tunai, for his part. Emphasized the importance of embracing peace among the area’s leadership. To make the development agenda of the ruling party a reality.
