Adan Duale’s Book Launch: Excluding Uhuru – The Inside Story
Wednesday, November 10, Defence Cabinet Secretary (CS) Aden Duale revealed that former President Uhuru Kenyatta was not invited to his book launch.
Duale, whose book ‘For The Record will be released on May 11th, noted that he had not extended an invitation to his former supervisor.
The CS explained on the JKLive program on Citizen TV that he feared Uhuru would disrupt the event if he decided to attend.
“I cannot invite President Kenyatta because of his recent behavior at the Jubilee offices.
Duale voiced his concerns, stating, “He can disrupt my function, but he is my friend, so I cannot remove him forcibly.”
Duale disclosed that he was concerned about the intensifying political rivalry between the former president and Vice President Uhuru Kenyatta on Mount Kenya.
“I want him to watch my launch on television tomorrow.
“I could have invited him, but I’m afraid he’ll become enraged when he sees DP Gachagua and National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa, and he’ll disrupt my event,” the CS explained regarding the ongoing political rivalry over Mt Kenya.
