Preacher Arrested in Kericho After Wife Found Dead in Bed with Injuries

In what is believed to have been a domestic dispute, a 35-year-old man allegedly murdered his 32-year-old wife in Kap DC Village, Kedowa.

Chief John Ngetich of Kedowa confirmed the incident, stating that the man, a pastor at one of the churches, murdered his wife after a dispute over unspecified matters.

According to Ngetich, the man fatally hacked his wife in the neck after striking her with a wooden bar.

He disclosed that after murdering her wife, the pastor covered her body on their marital bed before retiring for the night.

The administrator reported that the pastor instructed his eldest son to bring the village elder to the homestead early in the morning.

The son obeyed his father’s instructions and went to inform the village elder that he was calling.

The pastor told the village elder that he had a disagreement with his wife the night before and had hit her, but he was unsure if she was still alive and asked him to check on her in the bedroom.

The village elder went to check on the bloodied woman, only to discover that she had passed away.

The village elder then notified the chief. Who rushed to the scene and found that the woman had already passed away.

The chief reported the incident to the Londiani police station. Where officers rushed to the scene, removed the body, and transported it to the mortuary of the Londiani sub-county hospital.

The pastor was also arrested and taken to the same station. Where the suspect was being held pending his court appearance.

Ngetich advised the couples to seek amicable solutions to their problems rather than committing suicide.
