Babu Owino Inspires Azimio Supporters with Bible Verse Post-Protest “You Shall Not Burn”
Tuesday, May 2, in Nairobi, the anti-government protests led by Raila Odinga, leader of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party, resumed after a break of approximately one month.
On the first day of the demonstrations, Raila’s allies marched to the central business district of Nairobi.
After they attempted to deliver a petition to the President’s Office on Harambee Avenue around noon, police dispersed them with tear gas.
Previously, the government had denied Raila’s team permission to hold protests. With police chief Adamson Bungei stating that the March protests were “absolutely peaceful.”
Later in the evening, the outspoken Member of Parliament for Embakasi East, Babu Owino. Posted a Bible verse on his official social media accounts to encourage Azimio supporters.

Allegedly, Azimio leaders attempted to assassinate Raila.
In explaining why the opposition’s second round of demonstrations failed to gain traction. The opposition leader accused police of using excessive force against demonstrators.
The opposition claimed in a statement read by Martha Karua, the leader of Narc-Kenya. That there was a deliberate plot to assassinate the ODM leader.
“There was a pursuit of the prediction by Moses Kuria that during the protests, a Lee Harvey Oswald would emerge and assassinate Azimio leader Raila Odinga,” Karua stated in the video.
The leader of the Narc-Kenya party accused government agents of hiring thugs to disrupt peaceful demonstrations in Azimio.
“We have observed a very regrettable trend in the use of thugs. She noted that Central Kenyan youth are used to fighting against other Kenyan communities, have invaded Northlands and Jubilee, and have attacked people and property.
The opposition further announced that anti-government demonstrations will resume on Thursday, May 4.
