Pastor Ezekiel’s Application to Bar Magistrate Court Ruling on Detention

Pastor Ezekiel Odero has petitioned the High Court to prevent a magistrate court from deciding whether he should be detained for 30 days. In his application, Ezekiel requests an arrest warrant and immediate release.

While defending New Life Prayer Centre and Church, Ezekiel argues that the church is well-organized and disavows Pastor Paul Mackenzie.

The affidavit states, “I wish to dissociate myself from one Mr. Paul Mackenzie as we have no close familial or friendly ties.”

Pastor Ezekiel Odero has requested that investigators stop dragging him into unrelated matters, stating that he has never transported bodies to Shakahola.

He believes that the application to have him detained in court for 30 days is politically motivated and the product of evildoers.

Pastor Ezekiel has refuted the claim that he owns a mortuary close to his ministry.

The New Life Prayer Centre and Church lack a graveyard or cemetery. “The only cemetery outside the church’s expansive grounds belongs to the community that sold us the land,” he explains.

He argues that his teaching and focus within and outside of the church are vastly distinct from those of Mackenzie.

He has refuted claims that he purchased a TV channel from Mackenzie. Out of frustration and that the Mackenzie TV channel had a liability of 5 million shillings. And was restricted to Kilifi County.

“This was the result of a desire for a national TV station frequency. Pastor Ezekiel explains, “I negotiated new offers with Pang, which resulted in the formation of World Evalengism Television. And consequently terminated the oral agreement between myself and Me.Mackenzie.”

According to his affidavit, he began his ministry in 2010. And registered the church as New Life Prayer Centre and Church in 2012.

Before moving to Mavueni –Kilifi in March 2022, the pastor was based in Mtwapa. He states that he is involved in the fight against illiteracy. And poverty and that he is in the process of establishing an International School and University. That has created and provided employment opportunities for the residents of Mavueni and its surrounding areas.
