Nairobi County’s Permanent & Pensionable Jobs: Up to Ksh169K Pay, Application Process

To bolster the skillset of Governor Johnson Sakaja’s administration, Nairobi County has posted an additional 121 vacant positions in various departments.

In an April 30 posting on the county’s official website, City Hall announced permanent and pensionable positions ranging from directors of research and policy development, deputy directors of research and legislation development, artisans, work officers, and technical inspectors.

Additionally listed are mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and civil structure engineers.

Successful candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from Ksh15,670 to Ksh169,140, depending on the job scale, as well as housing, commuter, and vacation pay.

Applicants for the position of Director- Research and Policy Development, for instance, will earn between Ksh121,430 and Ksh169,140, plus a house allowance of Ksh50,000 and a commuter allowance of Ksh16,000.

A bachelor’s degree in any science or social science from a recognized university is a requirement for this position.

Artisans will receive between Ksh15,670 and Ksh17,570, whereas the Assistant Director of Research, Policy, and Development will receive between Ksh87,360 and Ksh121,430.

Works Officers will receive a salary between Ksh31,270 and Ksh41,260, in addition to a Ksh10,000 housing allowance and a Ksh4,000 commuting allowance.

Technical Inspectors would earn between Ksh38,270 and Ksh51,170 per month, plus a house allowance of Ksh16,500 and a commuter allowance of Ksh5,000.

Between May 4, 2023, and May 12, 2023, the application period for the various vacancies closes.
