President Ruto vows to intervene in planned Azimio protests “Mtajua Hamjui”

President William Ruto has vowed to use all of the resources at his disposal to prevent the planned protests in Azimio, which are scheduled to take place on Tuesday of the following week, from degenerating into anarchy and violence.

Following the move by the Azimio la Umoja Coalition to resume the nationwide protests over what the party’s hierarchy has termed as Kenya Kwanza’s failure to commit to holding constructive bipartisan talks, Deputy President William Ruto has expressed his views on the matter.

In a speech that he gave on Saturday in Malava, which is located in Kakamega County, President Ruto emphasized that he had reached out to Azimio leader Raila Odinga to find a solution that would bring an end to the ongoing rift that has been occurring between the opposition and his government.

Ruto continued by saying that despite his efforts, it appeared as though Raila had disregarded his grand gesture by ordering his supporters to take part in the demonstrations.

Mimi ndio commander-in-chief. Nyinyi mtajua hamjui. Wawache hiyo mchezo.”

In addition, Ruto stated that the focus of his administration is on enhancing the quality of life for Kenyans rather than engaging in a conflict with the opposition.

“Mambo ya uchaguzi tulimaliza last year.
