Pastor Paul Mackenzie’s controversial cult leader from Kilifi, Kenya, has refused to eat or drink while in police custody.

The police disclosed to Nation that the pastor with a cult following had been on hunger strike since his arrest.

The police reported that Mackenzie had not eaten since homicide detectives began marking gravesites and exhuming the bodies of his alleged members, who were believed to have starved to death in Shakahola village, after expanding their investigation.

They reported that the cleric resisted their attempts to give him a glass of water because he is fasting and praying.

Investigators discover 27 graves. In the reopened investigation of Mackenzie, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations discovered additional fresh graves in Malindi’s Shakahola forest.
