Shocking Wave of Killings Rocks Kenya: Missing Woman Found Brutally Murdered Under the Bed in Nairobi
Kenya is reeling after a series of violent killings across multiple counties has left authorities scrambling for answers. The latest tragedy unfolded in Nairobiโs South B neighborhood, where a woman reported missing was discovered dead under a bed in Kariba Estate.
The victim, identified as Ann Wangare, had been missing from her Embakasi home since December 18, 2025. Police traced her to a house belonging to her former husband on December 21 following complaints from neighbors about a foul odor coming from the residence.
Upon entering the house, authorities discovered Annโs body under a bed, with a large stone placed on her head and lying in a pool of blood. โThe said former husband was missing. The motive of the murder was not known,โ police stated. The body has been moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy, while officers have urged the suspect to surrender for questioning.

Meanwhile, in Siaya County, law enforcement arrested a suspect linked to the deaths of two women, Eurelia Akinyi and Esther Akoth. Police reported the killings occurred during a domestic dispute on December 20, with the suspect taken into custody two days later following a tip-off from local residents.
In Narok County, another alarming case emerged when a man, Joel Koitikoi, who had been reported missing on December 20, was found dead along the banks of River Enkare in Naisoya. His body, covered in dry leaves, showed injuries to the left eye, chest, and cheek. Police have moved the body to the mortuary as investigations continue.
Homa Bay County has also witnessed a fatal incident. Charles Ojwang, 40, was reportedly killed after a confrontation at a self-help group meeting. Police said the attack stemmed from an earlier incident on December 17, where Ojwang allegedly harmed children in the community. โThe body of the deceased was found with multiple injuries on the head and moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations,โ police noted. Authorities are actively pursuing those responsible.
These violent episodes have heightened fears as rural and urban communities across Kenya grapple with a surge in deadly attacks. Police continue investigations while urging the public to provide tips to aid in apprehending the suspects.
