President Ruto Appoints Ex-Governors Murungi and Ragwa
President William Ruto appointed former Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi as National Oil Corporation of Kenya Board chairman. Kiraitu will hold the position for three years, according to a notice published in the Gazette on April 20, 2023.
Former Governor of Tharaka Nithi Samuel Ragwa has been appointed as the Chairperson of the National Cereals and Produce Board. Former Makueni Deputy Governor Adelina Mwau is the KICC Board Chair.

The Head of State appointed Prof. Kimathi Mbogori Kigatiira to chair the Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute Board of Directors.
Richard Cheruiyot and Godfrey Lemiso have been appointed as Chairmen of the Export Processing Zones Authority and Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation for three years each.
Former Presidential candidate David Mwaure Waihiga has been appointed for a three-year term as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Environment Trust Fund.
Simultaneously, National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung’u appointed attorney Adrian Kamotho Njenga as the Capital Markets Tribunal’s chairperson for a three-year term.
