Narok Woman Charged With Sexually Abusing 16-Year-Old Boy
A woman, age 22, was brought before a court in Narok on charges of allegedly sexually abusing a boy, age 16, and encouraging him to drop out of school to be with her.
The accused, Mercy Chelanga, who works in a local bar at Ololulunga market in Narok North, appeared in front of Resident Magistrate Phyllis Shinyada, where she was charged with holding the minor in her house for more than a month. The charge against her is that she kept the minor in her house for more than a month.

The court heard that the victim had been the subject of sexual assault beginning on December 16, 2022, and continuing until Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
It is said that the boy’s mother developed fears after the youngster began mysteriously vanishing from their home and immediately began her investigations after making these realizations.
She received information about the whereabouts of her son from well-wishers at a later time. She went to the woman’s house and discovered her son locked inside while the accused was at work.
The mother decided to file a report about the incident, which led to the arrest of the woman. The youngster ran away into the nearby woods, but authorities tracked him down shortly afterward.
The accused person has refuted the allegations that have been made against her. The case is scheduled to be discussed on Thursday, April 27, 2023.
