Gachagua Set to Attend Harambee Stars vs Madagascar Match at Kasarani
The Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader, Rigathi Gachagua, will make his first public appearance at the Harambee Stars vs Madagascar quarter-final clash in Kasarani. This comes just hours after he skipped his highly-publicized rally at Kamukunji grounds.
DCP confirmed the news on Thursday, August 21, shortly after Gachagua returned to the country.

The update sparked mixed reactions from Kenyans. Some fans welcomed his attendance, while others urged him to financially support the national team like the President has been doing.
โLet him give something to the team, we are not seeing his motivational support to Harambee Stars,โ one Kenyan remarked.

Gachagua jetted back into Kenya on Thursday after spending 42 days in the United States, where he pushed his โWantamโ campaign against President William Ruto. His arrival was dramatic, with supporters turning up in large numbers at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to receive him.
However, his scheduled Kamukunji rally did not happen. According to DCP officials, there were claims of a plot to arrest him at the venue.
DCP Deputy Party Leader Cleophas Malala alleged: โWe wanted to receive our party leader, but they deployed police officers. They planned to apprehend him, but we said no.โ
Gachagua is now expected at Kasarani on Friday for the 5 p.m. kickoff. The match is a crucial moment for Harambee Stars as they aim to secure a semi-final spot in the continental tournament.
The game will also see Kasarani host fans at 80 per cent capacity, following an increase from the 60 per cent limit during the Zambia fixture.
