SEX SCANDAL AT THE ICC: Top Prosecutor Karim Khan Accused of Sexual Misconduct and Vicious Retaliation Against Staff

The United Nations is investigating claims of sexual misconduct by the International Criminal Court (ICC) Chief Prosecutor, Karim Khan. Sources close to the investigation have also revealed that the U.N. is looking into possible retaliation against staff who reported these allegations or criticized Khanโ€™s handling of the situation.

Multiple sources, who requested anonymity due to fears of retaliation, have shared that Khan, a British national, is accused of demoting at least four employees in his office. These staff members reportedly faced consequences after they either reported the allegations of sexual misconduct involving a female lawyer or spoke out against Khan’s actions.

In response to these allegations, Khan’s legal team issued a statement strongly denying any wrongdoing. “Our client has not engaged in sexual misconduct of any kind, nor has he engaged in any retaliatory behavior,” the statement read. They further emphasized that Khan looks forward to fully cooperating with the external investigation, though they declined to comment specifically on whether the U.N. probe includes investigating retaliation claims.

Khan, who is overseeing high-profile investigations into figures like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin, has pledged to continue his work during the inquiry. He previously argued that the allegations against him coincided with what he called a “campaign of misinformation” aimed at his office.

Khan’s legal troubles come amid ongoing ICC investigations into alleged war crimes in Ukraine and Gaza. The court has issued arrest warrants for both Putin and Netanyahu, which has sparked backlash from the countries involved, both of which are not members of the ICC.

The investigation into Khanโ€™s conduct is being led by the U.N.โ€™s Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS). However, the ICC and OIOS have declined to provide further comments at this time, and the courtโ€™s governing body has stated that more information will only be released once the investigation is complete.

The ICC, established to prosecute crimes like war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity, has 125 member countries. However, key global powers such as the United States, China, and Russia are not among them.

As the investigation continues, the world is watching closely to see how these serious allegations will affect Khanโ€™s role as ICC Chief Prosecutor and the courtโ€™s ongoing efforts to hold powerful individuals accountable for international crimes.
