“Nobody Has Ever Heard of It!” Trump Slams ‘Useless’ African Country While Torching ‘Woke’ USAID Scams
March 5, 2025 – During a speech before Congress, President Donald Trump slammed U.S. foreign aid spending, claiming billions of taxpayer dollars were being wasted on what he called “scams.”
Addressing the nation on Tuesday night, Trump targeted USAID programs funded under the previous administration, arguing that they drained federal resources.
One of the key programs he criticized was an $8 million LGBTQI+ initiative in Lesotho, a small African country. “Nobody has ever heard of it,” Trump said, questioning the rationale behind the funding.
Trump, who established the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, revealed several expenditures he deemed excessive. These included:
- $22 billion for free housing for illegal immigrants
- $45 million for diversity and inclusion scholarships in Burma
- $40 million for migrant integration programs
- $60 million for indigenous and Afro-Colombian empowerment in Central America
- $8 million for transgender mice research
- $32 million for left-wing media projects in Moldova
- $10 million for male circumcision programs in Mozambique
“These are scams—there are even worse ones I won’t mention,” Trump declared, adding that DOGE had uncovered hundreds of billions in government fraud.
He praised Musk for his role in cutting spending, saying, “Thank you, Elon. He didn’t need this job, but he’s doing incredible work.”
Since taking office in January 2025, Trump has prioritized reducing government waste, with Musk leading the charge to slash federal expenditures.
