Bloody Chaos Erupts in SDA Church as Pastor and Elders Trade Blows – Worshippers Flee for Their Lives
Chaos broke out during a church service at California Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church in Nakuru West, leaving several people injured. The fight was reportedly triggered by allegations of serious misconduct, including the misuse of church funds.
The incident happened on Saturday when some members of the congregation, including church elders, physically fought inside the church while women and children screamed in shock.
Reports indicate that tensions had been building for weeks. Some congregants were demanding better accountability from the pastor, leading to the dramatic scene witnessed that day.
Videos and pictures viewed by Gossipa2z.com showed a church elder stepping onto the main platform and accusing the pastor of taking them to the local authorities, seeking their arrest.
It was later revealed that the pastor had approached the local chief, asking for the arrest of certain church members over an alleged murder attempt.
“We understand the proper procedures. Why are you trying to mislead us? We also know how things should be handled. You cannot force us to pray while these issues remain unresolved. The church has its own way of handling such matters,” the elder stated.

He further questioned the pastor’s actions, asking, “Why don’t you ask us what the real problem is? Yesterday, you took us to the chief even though church rules do not allow such an approach. Why did you want us arrested?”
The situation quickly escalated when the elder, unable to control his anger, rushed towards the pastor after making his accusations.
The pastor did not back down and responded by physically engaging the elder. Their fight soon turned into a full-blown confrontation, involving many worshippers on the platform.
Blows were exchanged, chairs were broken, and panic spread throughout the congregation, forcing other members to flee through the exits of the unfinished church building.
This incident followed another violent episode involving SDA church leaders. In a separate event, a senior church leader stabbed a fellow elder with a knife.
The attacker had reportedly concealed the weapon inside a Bible and entered the church under the guise of sharing the gospel.
The victim, Francis Opiyo, aged 35, sustained severe stomach injuries and tragically lost his life. After the attack, the suspect surrendered himself to the assistant chief.
