Raila Drops Cryptic Hint- “I will make an announcement next week, watch this space”
Raila Odinga, after his important discussion with President William Ruto, promised to carefully consider his next moves before making any major decisions. Their meeting covered several national matters, and Raila assured his supporters that he would take a thoughtful approach moving forward.
On Tuesday, he kicked off his consultative meetings in Kisumu, where he first engaged with elders from different parts of the region. During this session, he spoke about his experience in the African Union (AU) elections. He shared details about his campaign journey, how the voting process unfolded, and the lessons he took away from the experience. Raila made it clear that his AU bid was now behind him, and he was ready to focus on the future.

In addition to meeting elders, Raila also held discussions with youth leaders from Kisumu County, as well as officials from his party at the county level. He reassured them that life continues beyond the AU elections and encouraged them to remain strong. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the party and staying united despite recent events.
Raila further assured his supporters that he would not limit his consultations to Nyanza alone. He planned to reach out to other regions across Kenya before arriving at any conclusions. He stressed that his next steps would be well thought out, with input from different parts of the country.
“I will not only focus on Nyanza. After this, I will visit other regions of Kenya,” he stated.
He also informed his audience that by the end of the following week, he would make an important announcement after completing his nationwide consultation tour.
“Expect an announcement next week. Stay tuned,” Raila added.
