Bloodbath in Texas: Kenyan Soldier Guns Down Wife in Cold Blood as Kids Sleep in Next Room
A 42-year-old Kenyan man, John Gitau Mwangi, was taken into custody in Texas, USA, for allegedly shooting his wife several times at their home.
As per the Killeen Police Department, the victim, a 37-year-old Kenyan woman, suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The authorities are now investigating the details of the incident.
Police in Texas reported that officers went to the couple’s home on Lakecrest Drive in Killeen on Friday, February 21, after receiving a request to check on the womanโs welfare. When they arrived, they found her with serious injuries.
Emergency medical responders arrived at the scene and tried to save her, but she passed away two hours later.
Investigators believe the shooting was an act of domestic violence. They also assured the public that the situation posed no further danger to others.
At the time of the attack, the couple’s two children were inside the house. However, police confirmed that they were not harmed. The children also appeared unaware of what had happened.

After committing the crime, the suspect, who is believed to be serving in the military in a foreign country, fled from the scene.

Detectives from the Robbery-Homicide Unit secured a warrant for his arrest and launched a search to track him down.
Eventually, he was found and arrested at Fort Cavazos, the military base where he was stationed. Authorities expect to formally charge him once investigations are completed.
Currently, he is being held at Killeen City Jail and faces serious charges. Under Texas law, he could receive a life sentence or even the death penalty if convicted.
This case follows another shocking incident involving a Kenyan man arrested in the U.S. just two months ago. That suspect was accused of killing his partner, whose dismembered body was later discovered in a car after she had been missing for a week.
According to police from Delaware and Maryland, the suspect was arrested based on evidence suggesting he might be involved in what appeared to be a love triangle.
