Light Aircraft Crash in Malindi Claims Lives; Schoolchildren Among Possible Victims
A light aircraft crashed and burst into flames on Friday, January 10, in the Kwachocha area of Malindi. The crash occurred along the Malindi-Mombasa Highway in the afternoon.
Footage reviewed by Gossipa2z.com shows the wreckage engulfed in flames, with smoke still billowing at the time of reporting.
Casualties Confirmed
Preliminary reports confirm there were no survivors onboard the aircraft. Witness accounts suggest the fire may have engulfed schoolchildren walking home.
At least two fatalities have been confirmed. Eyewitness videos depict the bodies of a man and a woman lying near a wrecked motorcycle. The victims were reportedly struck by the plane as it crash-landed. The manโs body lies face down, while the womanโs is face-up, with visible head injuries.

Nearby Structures and Vehicles Affected
The plane crash-landed on a soon-to-be-opened hotel, also damaging nearby motorcycles. Videos show parts of adjacent buildings catching fire.
