Top ODM Leader Arrested in Eldoret by Detectives
Uasin Gishu – The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has raised concerns about the detention of its national vice chairman by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Eldoret. According to the party, the arrest occurred under unclear circumstances, with no reasons provided by the authorities.
The ODM party took to Twitter to inform the public about the situation, revealing that John Ariko, who serves as the Member of Parliament for Turkana South constituency, was apprehended by DCI officers.

The tweet from the ODM party read: “DCI officers in Eldoret have this evening arrested Turkana South MP John Ariko, our National Vice Chairman, without any explanation. He is currently being held at the Central Police Station in Eldoret town. We demand an explanation from the Inspector General of the Police on this matter.”
