Eliud Kipchoge Lands Prestigious Ambassadorial Role
Legendary Kenyan athlete Eliud Kipchoge, widely regarded as the greatest marathon runner in history, was appointed on Wednesday as the Goodwill Ambassador for Sport, Integrity, and Values by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
This new position solidifies Kipchoge’s reputation not only as the premier marathoner but also as a significant advocate for social change through sports, education, and environmental protection. The athlete expressed his belief that this appointment symbolizes the transformative power of sports in people’s lives.

In his new position, which he will hold for a two-year term, Kipchoge will work alongside various stakeholders to empower youth through sports while also advocating for environmental preservation.
Kipchoge will persist in promoting causes that matter to him, particularly education, through the Eliud Kipchoge Foundation. This foundation is based on three core pillars: Education, Sports, and Environmental Conservation.
