Police Officer on the Run as Fight Over Barmaid Turns Tragic in Love Triangle
A police officer aggressively confronted a DJ, accusing him of showing interest in his girlfriend, and brandished a sword while threatening to kill him before bystanders intervened.
Authorities have launched a manhunt for the police officer involved in the assault of a DJ, allegedly fueled by a love triangle involving a barmaid.
In a media interview, the DJ revealed that the officer approached him at his home, delivering several blows and striking him with a cane before drawing a knife with the intent to stab him.
The public intervention saved the DJ’s life, as the enraged officer reconsidered his actions after hearing the crowd’s screams.
“He barged into my house, dragged me outside, and started beating me. He kept hitting me with a cane until it broke,” the DJ told Inooro TV, explaining the attack was motivated by the officer’s belief that he was flirting with his girlfriend.
The officer then forcibly took the DJ back to the club where both he and the woman worked, continuing the violent assault.
“He dragged me to a lodging at the club where I worked and demanded a rungu (club), which he used to beat me further,” the DJ recounted, still visibly shaken and in pain.
Jealousy and Humiliation
Speaking from his parents’ home, where he is recovering, the DJ mentioned that he had known the woman in question for years, suggesting that jealousy was the driving force behind the attack.
He explained that the officer became enraged after seeing him talking to the woman, dragging him to her room to humiliate further and assault him.
“It seems the barmaid, who was a friend of mine, was his girlfriend because he was beating me in her room at the club’s lodging. When he saw us talking, he became jealous,” the DJ explained.

The DJ’s family is now demanding justice, urging government authorities to hold the rogue officer accountable, emphasizing that without the public’s intervention, the outcome could have been fatal.
“If the public hadn’t intervened, my son would be dead,” the DJ’s mother stated.
The brutal attack left the DJ with a broken arm and other severe injuries, rendering him unable to work and earn a living.
