No School Visits and Activities in Third Term, PS Belio Kipsang Tells Schools
Education PS Belio Kipsang mandated full enforcement of the ban on school activities and visits, effective Wednesday, September 4.
The PS instructed regional, county, and sub-county Directors of Education to ensure schools strictly comply with this reinstated ban.
The directive emphasized that schools must halt all such activities, urging education officials to communicate the ban to every school within their jurisdiction.
As a result, students will only return home at the end of the third term, as the ban also prohibits half-terms and sporting events.

Initially implemented by former Education CS Fred Matiang’i, the ban aims to reduce interactions between candidates and outsiders, particularly to curb cheating in national exams.
Additionally, motivational speakers are barred from addressing students as they prepare for national exams, a practice previously common in many schools.
Kipsang warned school principals that they would be held accountable if they allowed any motivational talks in their institutions.
Reports indicate that some individuals have falsely claimed ministry approval to gain access to schools, exploiting fear to manipulate headteachers.
Kipsang directed educators to alert the police immediately if anyone arrives with purported ministry authorization to visit their schools.
