Jacob Ng’etich Appointed as Director of Press Service in Musalia Mudavadi’s Office
Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has appointed Jacob Ng’etich as his new Director of Press Service.
Ng’etich brings over two decades of experience in journalism and political analysis, according to sources familiar with the matter.
Insiders revealed that Ng’etich assumed his new role last week and has since been handling press releases from the office.
Before this appointment, Ng’etich was a journalist at Nation Media and later spent 11 years with the Standard Group.
His new responsibilities involve overseeing communications at Mudavadi’s executive office and managing media relations for his role as the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

Ng’etich will also be responsible for crafting communication materials and ensuring consistent brand messaging across all platforms.
When contacted, Ng’etich confirmed his departure from the Standard Group and his current role in the Prime CS’s office.
Mudavadi’s duties include assisting President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in coordinating and supervising government ministries and state departments, alongside managing the Foreign and Diaspora Affairs docket.
Additionally, he chairs and coordinates the National Government’s legislative agenda across ministries, consulting with coalition leaders in Parliament for implementation.
Mudavadi also leads the Principal Secretaries Committees, oversees the monitoring and evaluation of government initiatives, and carries out any other tasks assigned by the President.
