DP Gachagua’s Message To Moses Kuria After Meeting In Kiambu
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria crossed paths on Wednesday, August 21, at the funeral of Senator Karungo Wa Thang’wa’s brother, Martean Wainaina Thang’wa, and his wife, Peninnah Wanjiru, held in Kiambu County.
During his eulogy, the Deputy President advised Kuria to remain calm despite his exclusion from the recent cabinet reshuffle.
DP Gachagua emphasized that while one door might close, another will inevitably open, reassuring Kuria that the right opportunity will present itself in due course.
“My brother Moses Kuria, relax. There is no door that God closes without opening another. We wish you well. Don’t dwell on it too much; when the time comes, God will provide new opportunities,” said Gachagua.

Kuria suggested that the political conflicts within the Mt Kenya region led to a diverse government, which included allies of ODM leader Raila Odinga in the cabinet.
“A person shouldn’t start a fight if they don’t know how to win it. And how they’ll finish it, we need to be people who strategize for victory. Even those who have come from the opposition are here because we started a fight without knowing how to finish it. We are the ones who have invited them,” Kuria stated.
The ex-Gatundu South MP is one of the 11 Cabinet Secretaries who did not secure a position in the newly expanded Cabinet.
In the recent Cabinet reshuffle by President William Ruto, Kuria was succeeded by former Attorney General Justin Muturi in the Public Service role.
