    Tragic Nakuru-Eldoret Highway Crash: 13 Dead, 36 Injured

    Tragic Nakuru-Eldoret Highway Crash: 13 Dead, 36 Injured

    At least 13 people have been killed and 36 others injured in a road accident at Migaa, Nakuru County, along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.

    In a statement on Tuesday morning, August 20, the Kenya Red Cross disclosed that the tragic incident involved a coast bus and multiple vehicles.

    The humanitarian organization further intimated that the injured passengers had been taken to Molo and Coptic hospitals.

    “Thirty-six injured individuals have been taken to Molo and Coptic Hospitals following a road traffic incident involving a PSV bus and multiple vehicles at Migaa in Molo, Nakuru County,” Kenya Red Cross stated.

    In photos and videos seen by Gossipa2z.com, the Kenya Red Cross emergency response team and other rescue teams were already at the accident scene.

    Reports indicate that the bus lost control after its brakes failed before ramming into the vehicles and later landing in a ditch.

    The bus was completely wrecked, with some belongings of the passengers, including bags, scattered on the road.

    Rescue efforts were still ongoing on Tuesday morning, as some passengers were said to be still trapped beneath the bus wreckage.

    Police officers on the scene were assisting in clearing the road to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.

    The bodies of the deceased were moved to the morgue.
