Tragedy in Rongai: KWS Ranger Allegedly Kills Man Before Taking Own Life in Nightclub Shooting
Authorities are currently investigating an incident where a KWS ranger reportedly took his own life after allegedly fatally shooting a man early Saturday in Rongai Town, Kajiado North Sub County.
According to reports, the ranger entered a Rongai nightclub during the early hours of Saturday and allegedly shot a man before turning the gun on himself.
The nightclub is located in the Tumaini Area, along Mugis Road.
A police report from Ongata Rongai Police Station details that the ranger entered the venue, demanded its closure, and instructed patrons to lie face down.
He then allegedly shot one individual three timesโin the back and headโbefore ordering everyone to remain in their positions until morning.
Insiders familiar with the incident said that the ranger had a dispute with the deceased the previous evening, around 8 p.m.

The suspect reportedly left the club, returned later armed, and carried out the shooting.
Witnesses claim the ranger fled the scene on a motorcycle, heading towards Nairobi.
He is then believed to have gone to his home, where he ended his life.
The ranger was reportedly on guard duty at the Central Workshop at the time of the incident.
Upon searching his residence, police found a magazine loaded with 20 live rounds.
“The firearm and ammunition have been secured as evidence pending ballistic analysis,” according to a police report from Lang’ata Police Station.
At the nightclub, authorities processed the scene, recovering three spent cartridges as evidence.
The body of the deceased ranger is currently at Nairobi Funeral Home.
