    Kenya Power Announces Nationwide Outages for Wednesday: Affected Areas and Timings Revealed

    Kenya Power Announces Nationwide Outages for Wednesday: Affected Areas and Timings Revealed

    Kenya Power has scheduled a power outage for Wednesday, August 14, 2024, affecting seven counties nationwide.

    The company notified the public on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, that the outage is due to scheduled maintenance of the electricity grid.

    Nairobi County

    Areas near Karen and Ngong Road will experience power cuts from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, including Ngong View Estate, The Hub, Tree Lane, and parts of Windy Ridge, D.O.D. Westwood, Kerarapon Rd., sections of Ngong Road, and nearby customers.

    Kakamega County

    Power will be interrupted from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in Muhila Hospital, Muhila School, Mujiti Market, Ekonjero Market, Emurumba Market, and surrounding areas.

    Bungoma County

    A power outage is expected from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in Miendo, Matisi Water, Matisi Market, Kiboochi, Bokoli Market, Namawanga, Machakha, Malokho, Samita, and Bukembe.

    Homa Bay County

    Power will be disrupted from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in Rangwe, Nyauu, Asumbi Complex, Koyoo, Namba, Nyawita, Sinogo, Pala Masogo, Oluso, Nyambare, Rabango, Orego, Nyandiwa, Wangapala Kolielo, and adjacent areas. Additionally, Uozi, Siambi, Mulundu, Ogina, Soklo, Katimba, Yokia, Nyakwiri, and nearby customers will also experience outages.

    Nyeri County

    From 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, areas including Karura Market, Karura Coffee Factory, Karura Primary School, Eng. Maina area, Gathumbi Village, parts of Unjiru Village, Ngari Junior Village, Ragati Primary School, Ragati Secondary School, Iharu Village, Gikumbo Market, Kiandara Village, Gathambo TBC, Gaturumo-Ini TBC, Kiamigwi Village, Shauri Moyo, Kihuro Village, Gaikuyu Market, Magutu Secondary School, Safaricom & Airtel Boosters, and adjacent areas will experience power interruptions.

    Power interruptions will occur from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in Karungangi, Gikono, AAA Growers, Gakuyo Estate, Pro Gas, Shalimah Farm, Mukeu Farm, Montezuma Mortuary, Makindi Farm, Tosheka Village, Methi, Kabati Market, Ken Matiba Hospital, Makenji, and surrounding areas.

    Isiolo County

    Power outages will affect the following areas from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm: Kona Mbaya, Maili Saba, BBC, Maili Tano, Royal Acacia, Range Lands, Africa Eco, Red Cross, Canaan, Mugae, Harkrishina, Meru Wood, Isico, Ndunyuruma, Colourful World, Bula Mpya, Olajarole, Pepo La Tumaini, Kambi Odha, Isiolo Livestock Market, Kambi Garba Islamic School, parts of Nagele, and Kambi Garba Catholic Mission.

    Additional affected areas include Kambi Turkana, School of Artillery, Elboran Resort, Tractor, Kiwanja, Attan Primary School, Ngaremara Market, Ngaremara Catholic Mission, Manyatta Zebra, School of Military Engineering, Sarova Shamba, Archers Post, Safaricom BTS Archers, Kalama Centre, Lerata, Lengusaka, Sionta, Safaricom BTS Wamba, Wamba, LKSIN, Swari, and Londokwe.
