Governor Nyong’o’s ‘International Press Statement’ to Tim Walz Sparks Laughter Among Kenyans: “Hata Hakujui”
Kisumu Governor has elicited amusing reactions from Kenyans after he congratulated Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on being picked to be Kamala Hariss’ running mate.
In a statement on Wednesday, August 7, dubbed ‘international press statement,’ Nyong’o said Walz’s record as a progressive leader in the US speaks for itself.
“Governor Tim James Walz, I would like to Congratulate you, as a fellow Governor, for your nomination by Kamala Harris as her running mate in the race to capture the White House for the Democrats in the coming presidential elections in your country,” read the statement in part.
The Kisumu Governor noted that Walz adds substantial credibility to Kamala’s presidential bid ahead of the November elections.

“What you have achieved in Minnesota as a Governor is the envy of many across the world. You bring substantial credibility to the Ticket, as one who cares for the downtrodden, both in policy making and in the actual implementation of public programs. May the good Lord bless both of you as you cruise towards the finishing line in November,” Nyong’o added.
