Gov’t Intervenes After Kenyan Woman is Locked in a Room With No Food in Saudi Arabia(Video)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kenya quickly intervened on Saturday to rescue a young girl being held against her will in Saudi Arabia.

A concerned Kenyan used social media to report that the young woman was locked in a room and deprived of food.

The whistleblower urged Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu to address the situation and save the girl.

He revealed that a rogue agent had taken the young woman to Saudi Arabia and refused to help her return home.

Reports indicated that the young woman was not only starved but also subjected to mistreatment and physical abuse.

“They were unable to take her phone. She cannot speak,” the whistleblower informed PS Njogu.

He also shared a video showing the woman lying helplessly on the floor, struggling to call for help.

The State Department for Diaspora Affairs confirmed they had taken action and notified the relevant division.

Six hours later, the woman was successfully rescued from captivity.

There was no information on whether she would be provided a flight back to Kenya or continue her stay in Saudi Arabia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that 316 Kenyans have died while working in the Gulf region, with 166 fatalities in Saudi Arabia.

Currently, 66,025 Kenyans are employed in Saudi Arabia, mostly in unskilled labor positions.

Hallo Harry, we have picked up the matter. Concerned division notified. ^TM https://t.co/fQO8RrSSPL
