Special Task I want Joho & Mvurya to Do After CS Vetting – Ruto

President William Ruto has assigned the newly appointed Cabinet Secretaries from the Coast the task of creating a plan to address the challenges posed by absentee landlords in the area.

During his speech in Lunga Lunga on Saturday, July 7, the President highlighted the roles of Mining CS nominee Hassan Joho and Trade CS nominee Salim Mvurya in helping the government tackle the issues faced by squatters in the coastal region.

Collaborating with Senate Speaker Amason Kingi, the President instructed the leaders to initiate discussions with the Ministry of Lands on implementing the plan.

He emphasized that the two CS nominees, being senior leaders from the region, had a deep understanding of the local issues.

President Ruto indicated that the plan should be launched this year, with Ksh1 billion already allocated to the initiative.
