Kalonzo Breaks Silence on Attorney General Position Rumors
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has dismissed reports that he has been offered the Attorney General position in the Kenya Kwanza government.
Addressing the media on Thursday, July 25, Kalonzo said no one has offered him any position in government.
Kalonzo noted that he has served as the vice president of Kenya and held many ministerial portfolios adding that serving as the Attorney General was expecting too much from him.
โNobody has offered any position to me or Wiper. The thing about the Attorney General is a mirage, I may be senior council but this guy has been the vice president of the republic and he has been a minister in many portfolios, do you expect him surely to go and serve Ruto as Attorney General?

โI think it is expecting too much. The bottom line is there is no such thing and we are not interested,โ said Kalonzo.
His clarification comes after netizens speculated on social media that the former vice president has been offered the Attorney General role in the President William Ruto-led administration.
This was after the Head of State nominated key allies of Azimio leader Raila Odinga to cabinet positions.
The nominees include; former Mombasa governor Hassan Joho (Ministry of Mining), former Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya (Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), Opiyo Wandayi (Energy), and nominated MP John Mbadi (National Treasury and Economic Planning).
