Aisha Jumwa Jeered in Kilifi Over Cabinet Reappointment Hint (Video)
Former Gender Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa encountered resistance in Kilifi after she appeared to comment on President William Ruto’s Cabinet reshuffle.
Despite being removed from the National Executive along with others, Jumwa seemed to bear no ill will toward the president.
Following Ruto’s nominations on July 19, Jumwa referenced Bible verses, perhaps in a bid to influence the president towards reinstating her in the Cabinet.
Nevertheless, she presented a nonchalant attitude, stating that she would not object if Ruto chose to exclude her from the government.
“The president knows, and if he prefers to keep Aisha Jumwa in the Cabinet, the people of Kilifi will say amen. If he decides otherwise, we will also accept it because the Bible teaches us to be grateful and rejoice in all circumstances,” she commented.

However, her remarks did not sit well with some members of her audience.
They interrupted her with boos, leading her aides to step in to calm the situation.
As anticipated, Ruto began his Cabinet reorganization on July 19.
He revealed the first set of appointments, including 11 members, with six returning from the previous Cabinet.
Kithure Kindiki resumed his role in the Interior Ministry, Aden Duale was reinstated in Defence, Alice Wahome went back to Lands and Public Works, Davis Chirchir was assigned to Roads and Transport, and Rebecca Miano was proposed as Attorney General.
The new appointees included Debra Mlongo (Health), Julius Ogamba (Education), Andrew Karanja (Agriculture and Livestock Development), Eric Muriithi (Water), and Margaret Ndungu (ICT).
After finalizing the list, the proposed Cabinet members will undergo vetting and approval by the National Assembly.
