Alice Wahome celebrates after being nominated as Lands CS(Video)
Alice Wahome, nominated as the Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development, has conveyed her deep gratitude and excitement following her nomination by President William Ruto.
In a video shared by Gossipa2z.com, the former CS is seen joyfully celebrating at night with songs and dances, marking her recent nomination just a week after her dismissal.
Speaking to the press, Wahome expressed her profound gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve again in the same role.
She also extended her appreciation to President William Ruto, acknowledging the significant honor and responsibility that comes with the position.
Wahome further reassured Kenyans of her commitment to delivering her best in her duties.

“I am extremely grateful for the renomination as CS for Lands, Public Works, and Development. I want to take this moment to thank God for this second chance to serve the country. Additionally, I thank the President for deeming me fit for this role again. It’s a great honor and responsibility, and I wholeheartedly commit to it,” she stated.
Wahome was one of six cabinet secretaries retained by the President in an announcement on Friday, July 20, 2024.
Other retained nominees include Kithure Kindiki as Interior CS and Aden Duale as Defence CS.
Soipan Tuya, the former CS for Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry, has also been retained in her position.
Davis ChirChir has been retained but reassigned to the Ministry of Roads and Transport, while former CS Rebecca Miano has been nominated as Attorney General.
