How Kware Serial Killer Was Nabbed Watching Euro 2024 Finals
Collins Jomaisi Khalisia has been identified as the prime suspect in a string of murders that led to female bodies being discovered in Kware dumpsite, Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums.
On Thursday, residents discovered bodies in the dumpsite, leading to an exercise that has so far seen at least 8 dismembered bodies retrieved.
In an update on Monday, Mohamed Amin, Director of Criminal Investigations revealed that police pounced on Khalisia in Soweto on Monday morning.
Khalisia was arrested outside a club where he had gone to watch the Euro 2024 Finals between Spain and England.
โHis pursuit and consequent arrest followed a thorough forensic analysis of a mobile phone that belonged to one of the victims namely Josephine Mulongo Owino, where some mobile money transactions were conducted on the day Josephine went missing.
Amin further explained that the suspect led police to his house in Kware, located about 100 meters from the dumpsite where bodies have been recovered.

The items recovered in Khalisiaโs house include;

โข 10 phones (8 smartphones)
โข One Laptop
โข One hard drive
โข Two flash drives and a memory card
โข One machete
โข 12 sacks similar to the ones used to stuff bodies at Kware Dam
โข 1 pair of gloves
โข 8 National Identification cards
โข A pink handbag
โข Two pink female pants
โข 5 rolls of bhang
โข 4 huge tapes
โข 1 reflector jacket
โข 2 title deeds
โข 2 notebooks and other assorted documents.
In a confession to police officers, Khalisia said he had dumped 42 female bodies in the Kware dumpsite. His first victim was his wife Imelda Judith Khalenya, whom he killed in 2022.
“Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to having lured, killed, and disposed of 42 female bodies at the dumpsite all murdered between 2022 and as recent as July 11, 2024,” noted Amin.
As of Monday morning, a total of 9 bodies have been recovered from the dumpsite awaiting postmortem set to commence today at the Nairobi Funeral Home, formerly City Mortuary.
